Tape as a connected machine.
Recording, tape and playback are intended to shape the sound of tracks, buses and masters together. ALXTape considers the entire signal path rather than isolated tape effects.
Screenshots to follow. This space will show the ALXTape interface.
ALXTape treats tape as a connected machine: the recording path, tape and playback all contribute to its sound.
Different formats, speeds and calibrations are intended to offer meaningful sonic choices for individual tracks, buses and masters.
A first prototype is planned for RTM Amsterdam 2026. This product page is an initial draft; screenshots, sound examples and a fuller product description will follow.
