Studies and practice
From 2017 to 2019 I studied computer science at the University of Freiburg; in 2025 I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management at Hochschule Macromedia Freiburg.
Software, audio and video have never felt like separate worlds to me. Today I work where they meet.
Since mid-2026 I've been working intensively with AI workflows. I combine them with my experience in software and media work to test ideas faster and take on more ambitious projects.
Audio and music
I got my first Novation Launchpad in 2014 and started learning Ableton Live. Later came music productions, Launchpad covers and performances. When a transition was off, you could hear and see it immediately.
Around 2015/16 I added iZotope RX to that workflow. It let me examine and work on individual parts of a recording in far more detail.
From 2021 I gradually moved my workflow to Cockos Reaper. These days I work almost exclusively with Reaper and RX, alongside other plugins.
Video
Around 2010 I recorded my first Let's Plays. That was where I began experimenting with recording and editing. Over time I became more interested in how timing, picture and sound can change the effect of a video.
Later I produced Launchpad covers, made videos for theatre productions and documented music events. These days I'm also interested in showreels, personal videos and ASMR. Some music video ideas are still plans, others are in progress; livestreams might be a next step.
How I work
It often starts small: something is missing from an application, so I build a fix. Or I have an idea for a video or a sound and try it out. When that raises the next question, the work grows step by step. A fix can become a software project of its own; a sketch can turn into a full-scale production.
Even when I get absorbed in an idea, it still has to hold up in practice. OpenAI Codex is one of the tools I use when programming. I set the direction, make the decisions and check the result myself.
